What is the difference between sunburn and solar stress?
There is a difference between sunburn and solar stress in plants, just like there is in humans. Sunburn is a result of high UV radiation. Whereas solar stress is a condition of Infrared radiation, or convective heat. Sunburn can occur in the absence of intense Infrared radiation, and vice versa sometimes it can be hot with low UV intensity. It is the most common mistake farmers and growers make when they associate sunburn with high temperatures.
